My fiance, and I are thinking of moving to Richlands, NC in the very near future. Anyone from around there or that town? I know its a quieter town, but we were wondering about jobs and such. I know they have an amazing school system and people like to move to Richlands for that particular reason. We have a 2 month old, obviously not ready for that stage of life. Any advice offered is very appreciated =)

I live in Richlands currently - are you from this area, or will you be moving from out of state? Is your fiance already employed (i.e., with the military), or will he be looking for work?? Richlands is beautiful, but there are not many employment opportunities here, so that is definitely something to consider. Also, real estate is EXPENSIVE currently because there is a building freeze in effect for the next four years due to water/sewer problems. If you have questions, you can e-mail me through my ID - I'll be glad to help with whatever I can.

We move to north Carolina from Miami Fla. in 1981. the town is named Gastonia, near Charlotte.
what's near Richlands county? You will like NC for about three or four months then you'll escape and go back home.
As far as jobs are concerned there aren't anything but banking, tourism. teaching, because of all the textile plants moved to china or India. etc. everyone is always looking for any type of job.
I don't know what your politics are but I am a liberal . Which I am very proud at being the only one in North Carolina.
The most liberal Church is the Catholic Church in every city.
if your not a liberal you will fit in fine.
