2 Parts, 2 View Points. Which do you agree with?

1. People seem to make SUCH a huge deal about human sexuality. "OMG!! He's GAY??!?!?! When did this happen? Why? Was he abused as a child? He played with Barbie, didn't he? Yeah, I could tell."

I think people should stop focusing on "HE like MEN" or "SHE likes WOMEN" and just realise that PEOPLE fall in love with PEOPLE.

My sister told me about a friend who was with her partner for nigh 10 YEARS, and then fell in love with a guy.

Should it be more about "Well, she was in love with me and now she's in love with someone else" rather than "OMG!! She's STRAIGHT and she was lying to me the whole time?!?!?".

2. Human sexuality a defining part of who we are as people. Whether you like men or like women defines who you are as a person. If HE didn't like men, that wouldn't be him. If SHE liked men, that would be just be ODD.

If you're gay, you're gay. That's the way you were made and that's the way you will always be.

Neither. Sexuality is Natural. Just another part of Nature.

The reality for me is a mixture of those two viewpoints. Sexuality is something we all have, it is a part of what makes us human. We all have innate needs and desires. Our moral codes as a society have dictated to us that it is 'right or wrong' to feel certain ways. Therefore people get on their moral high horse about sexuality and try and 'prove' various theories to try and discredit any form of 'sexual' exploration. However the fact is sexuality is very rarely a black and white thing which can be neatly defined into nice neat boxes of definiton. This is in itself an unsettling thing for any one of a number of reasons.
Therefore the nature or nuture argument is something that will go on and on, because our sexuality is a bit of both and whatever you believe it is a reality and that has to be the most important point!

Sexuality is a human urge, like hunger or thirst. But some get into an overdrive because of titilation offerd by commercialism of sex as well as persons who have the same urge or for companoinship. Sexual preference is something to do with mental make up of an individual.and his moral or religious inclinations. But it is a the tool of nature for procreation. But one need not be judgemental in what consenting adults do.
