the solution is:-
log(base 3) 4 - log(base 3) (64 raised to 1/2)
{ the property of log that caused 64to be raised to 1/2.}
that is
log(base 3) 4 - log(base 3) 8
that is
log(base 3) (4/8)
that is
log (base 3) (1/2)
see the answer in log book or a calculator.

log(base 3)(1/2) =
0.5 = 3^n
Ln(0.5) = nLn(3)
n = -0.63093

you can remark that 64 = 8^2
so 1/2 log (base 3) 64 = log (base3) 8

and log (base3)4 -log( base3) 8 = log (base3) 1/2 = -log(base3)2

You have the formula log(base3)2 = ln2/ln3 ln3 =1.0986

so log(base3)2 = 0.762

and your answer is -0.762

log_3 4-1/2 log_3 64
log_3 4-log_3 8
log_3 4/8
log_3 1/2=ln (1/2)/ln(3)=-0.6309
