Yes, I think its connected to your mental stress also. Our Brain is the most reactive part of our body. what ever happens to us physically and emotionally its does has either a direct or indirect effect on our mental health. So a partner cheating on you will definitely cause a mental disturbance in your life specially if you are more emotionally attached to that person.

Hell yes its abuse. The suspicious nature you'll naturally have from here on out is torture. You will always think back to when that person cheated and formulate your own ideas on how: did they kiss like we kiss; did they bang like we bang; did either suck or lick on the other like we have; are there still secret yearnings for that other person; will they ever do it again? it's so many thoughts. that's stressful.

Yes, it is emotional abuse... it causes you mental torment over diseases, trust, and fear of losing the relationship. It is definately emotional abuse.
