Safer, perhaps. But better, no. We have used 9/11 as an excuse to dismantle the Constitution. Instead of proving to the terrorists that no matter what they did to us that we would not dismantle the Constitution and our most basic freedoms, our government has done the exact opposite.

No, America is not safer today. All the threats before 9/11 are still out there, and since then there should be more threats in various different ways. There could be more people in the world now who want to attack America and its people since then. The only good thing is the Americans are getting more aware of the situation.

We are certainly more alert than we were before 9/11 and in turn, that makes us safer. Does that mean we're safe? Absolutely not. Safer? Absolutely.

Before 9/11 nobody even thought flying planes into buildings was even possible. We now realise, not just as a government, but as a country that terrorism isn't just throwing a grenade in a public area anymore. It's more advanced than that. That makes it more dangerous, but keeps us on our toes as citizens.

By a matter of degrees, yes, I believe it is safer. How much is the question though. Seems anyone is able to walk in, flying is a different story. Of course, some brazen their way in making noise like a reveler on New Years Eve and the government turns a blind eye.

Flying fuel laden planes into buildings is less likely to happen, however, bankrupting us seems more likely to happen.

Being that I live in a Blue state, I feel a hell of a lot better now that all those maps showing the location of the red states are all over the place.

But yeah, I actually do feel a little safer now that the new DEMOCRATIC Congress inacted all the recommendations of the 9/11 committe in its first 100 hours. It's too bad it took over five years to do that, but you can't blame the former Republican Congress too much - they were pretty busy raping teenage boys.

Not like terrorism was a big threat before 9/11.

its been trumped up to sound like a common occurance. Of course its bad when it happens but there are more countries that have a real terrorism problem as opposed to the US.

Now however there are a lot more people that want to attack us than the pre Iraq days so you come to your own conclusion

Yes. We are much safer today than we were 9/10/01. It's just that we aren't as safe as we THOUGHT we were 9/10/01

No safer now then beforehand of 9/11. each thing is strictly an identical. the only distinction is they are keeping it in our face as a fashion of keeping us in concern. It keeps us conscious of it. you basically did not think of roughly it before. I advise think of roughly it. Our troops are over there loss of life typical to rebuild a rustic we knocked down attempting to get what began out as Osama Bin Whoeverthehell. Our government had him picked out on condition that day one. nonetheless have not got him. even with the undeniable fact that, whilst this began out they observed him driving on horseback... come on now. With our technologies they might get a guy on horse? They probable see me typing this. yet then we've been given Sadam and we've been meant to be safer. Hmmm. Then we've been given all of his adult men. Hmmm. all of the whilst our troops... wait, youthful adult women and men are loss of life typical. can we experience safer... i don't and the foremost reason is by way of fact its terrorism. those people could be living interior of our borders all waiting. marvelous next to you. you nonetheless see it on the information typical. ask your self what our troops are searching for? Terrorist? How do you spot them? let us know with a view to see them in our very own land. whilst your at it, tell our leaders to end imparting those so referred to as terrorist cells with the failings they are utilising against us. that could help.
