I JUST finished seeing Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and must say the last scene took me by surprise and provoked a bit of thought.
What becomes of Will and Elizabeth's romance in POTC 3 after this rift comes between them?

I think that Jack is to much of a player and he knows it. He will probably fall in love with Elizabeth but because he knows how he loves women and the sea he will not let himself be with her. All his life he has wanted to be Captain of the Black Pearl. Elizabeth and Will will be together in the end and Jack will have a new ship to sail away on.

I think Elizabeth is a smart woman and is using Jack for her own gain.
She and Will will still have their wedding and there will be a POTC 4

Jack Sparrow's sexual ambiguity is one of the unspoken about selling points of this series. There's no way he's going to have a normal everyday relationship with a given woman. Especially when Depp has said he'd like to make another four or five of these.

i hated the ending, she's a murdering ***** and in my eyes can't be redeemed (unless she gives her life for jack, won't happen). that whole twist ruined the movie for me.
