This sounds bad for where I'm from but I've known a few people from my hometown that have been on the show. While they were fake creating scenes, the cops were called on them, and they were weirded out that it wasn't a real call because it was a Jerry Springer taping.
One of the stories was these two twins and one was sleeping with the other's husband. They didn't even use their real house. They used someone's small, trashy trailer instead.

did you see that episode the other day? OMG! or any day! WOW! i would never "air my dirty laundry" as jerry puts it, but i would enjoy being in the audience. thoes people CRACK ME UP! i want to see simon and paula duke it out on an episode of jerry! SOO FUNNY!

I was in the audience about 10 years ago. It was really stupid, really borring, and a huge waste of time. Dont bother.
