Ok, so this is not an original question. It was first posed by Jack Kerouac in the form of a wise Bodhisvatta.
But I want to know what you all think.
For me, it's the most important question I've ever asked myself.
Thanks, Jack.

I'd love answers from anyone at all, but I'd most appreciate answers from anyone who has read the novel I'm referring to. (Dharma Bums, by Jack Kerouac)
In any case, please explain your answers to me if you can. And if you're not sure don't be afraid to tell me the portions of truth you have accepted.
I'd also like to add a second question...
If in fact there is a teaching for all living creatues, is there the SAME teaching for all living creatures?

I want to restate the fact that I don't think that as one answerer put it... fish and people should be seeking the same thing. I mean is there perhaps one teaching all people should be given? Or one teaching all fish should be given? Or a different teaching for each person or fish?
