I just had a recovered childhood memory.
I remember getting a pack of candy cigarettes when I was a kid. A neighbor bought them for me. My parents were pissed when they found out and I couldn't understand why. Those cigarette companies were brilliant at marketing! 12 years later I was hooked. I'm 27 now, that must've been 20 years ago.

sorry cooldog but you're wrong. While peer pressure certainly was a factor in my smoking, the tobacco industry actually did have ties with the candy companies making the candy cigarettes and sometimes the candy smokes were even given names similar, or even exactly the same as their tobacco counter-parts. It may be hard to grasp, but marketing works, and businesses use it. Don't be so naive, and don't shout. The irony is some people order these things to help themselves quit smoking.

I think they're funny, and I don't smoke.

Check these out. They made me laugh and laugh, and I'm going to hand some out as party favors on my birthday.

Yes, I remember those candy cigarettes. I thought they were so good. I thought I looked so cool acting like I was smoking them. I'm sure they are banned these days.

I never did get hooked on cigarettes though and don't smoke now. I understood the addiction to the candy ones, but not the real ones.

Oh yes, I remember candy cigarettes. Can you imagine if little kids walked around pretending to smoke a candy cigarette now? How times change - in this case - for the better.

Yeah I remember, I use to think I looked so cool but it was just powdered sugar over bubble gum. I never smoked a real cigarette though, I was way too smart to damage my health, but oh the joys of a childhood long gone.

Haha, yeah candy cigarettes? Like the Popeye ones? or the ones that puffed out powdered sugar? I liked the Popeye ones, they look more like joints than cigarettes though....hmm, guess what I smoke now...lol

Haha yep I used to blow the sugar like it was smoke. The funny thing is that I've never smoked a cigarette in my life because they're stinky!

I remember them and those pretty gum cigars in pink and blue and green. I never became a smoker from playing with them though. You can even buy them at website online that sells all kinds of neat candies from the past but they are sold in bulk and are expensive
