because human love is not perfect, yours and his. therefore, hurt comes inevitably.

that is why God's perfect love must be in the middle of every marital relationship so that there could be a constant understanding to each of the couple's imperfection.

There's an old song titled, "You always hurt the one you love." Because if you didn't love them, how could they possibly hurt you? Most people don't mean to hurt other people. And I don't think there's anyone who says, "Hey, this person loves me so I think it's time to hurt them." You are apparently coming off of a relationship where you were in love, but that love was not given back to you. And God that hurts, very badly. This particular love was not meant to be. And it will be hardest on you if you keep thinking about what could have been between the two of you, instead of what is. It's like a death, really. The death of your expectations of this relationship. I have a friend who lost her son years ago. She's fine so long as she does not allow herself to think about what might have been, how old he would be now, etc. It's thinking about what might have been that makes us so very sad. It's better to think about what you do have. The first time I was majorally dumped was in high school and after a few days of feeling sorry for myself, my Mom came home from the grocery store with an address book for me. I thought she was insane, but that night I started filling it in with all the people I knew who were important to me, and I realized I was not as alone as I thought I was.

I only answered this because it's titled my favorite song from dazed and confused.
But to be serious some people are destined to love they can't help it. They find someone that they feel are worth all the time and energy they put in it. But 90% of the time that person is a fairytale they made up. True love shows itself in many ways. It's not circumstantial or money smart. It's something you BOTH feel.

It's possible that you could just be subconsciously sabotaging a relationship. You really know better than to be attracted to that "TYPE" of person that is going to walk all over you but you allow yourself to fall in love or think that you are in love with them; when in fact you just may not be ready for commitment. I'm not blowing smoke up your butt, this is from personal experience. Hope it helps!

Sometimes that happens. But that doesn't make it right. Each person has to stand up for their rights. We can be taken advantage of only if we allow it.

Sometimes I say yes...love shouldn't hurt. I agree that sometimes we allow the other person to hurt us. We give them our power to turn our emotions against us. There are those out there who simply care less, therefore they cannot love the way we deserve to be.

When you fall in love you become extremely vulnerable andsensitive when it comes to that person....most of the things they do that hurt you wouldn't even bother you if it were anyone else. That'show much they mean to you, that's what makes them so special!!

i used to think the same thing, but now i have found the love of my life and realized that it takes the shitty relationships along with the heartaches to know when we have something great and right. i know that i wouldn't appreciate him nearly as much as i do if it wasn't for all the crap that i was put through in past relationships.
