women have learned to be 'self assertive' and much less dependent on men.
One of the biggest reasons for this 'in ALL honesty' is, most
men today are real jerks.
Deceptive, greedy, untrustworthy and like to use women.
I know this sounds harsh but it's actually the truth.
There was a thing on Oprah about four months ago, about this very topic. It was a nationwide poll and 73% of women questioned
gave this as their reason for not marrying.
73% is a huge number when you think of it"
And isn't it sad that this is how most of them see men these days. There 'MUST' be something to it if 73% all felt the same way.

Well for myself I still have many things I'd like to do before I open that chapter in my life. Marriage and kids are the last thing on my mind right now. I want to finish my education, establish a career and become financially independent. I also enjoy traveling, not answering to anyone but myself and enjoy my freedom. I do plan to get married one day but it will most likely be after I'm 30 or when the right guy comes along.

In my opinion, possible reasons:

1. women are becoming less dependant. In past woman needed husband to financially support them, now it changed, women can work and earn their own money. More than that - these days in many cases women are the ones who financially support families.

2. In past (long ago) it was a shame to be in relation (intimate) with a man without getting married, now it changed, most of women loose their virginity before getting married. I mean they don't need to get married to satisfy their natural desire or have children.

There are increasinly less and less marriable men. They need to stop being little boys obsessed with sex and video games, and violence, figure out they are not invincible, develop the skills they need to learn from their mistakes, and become real men. The "men" today are a sorry excuse for men, rather they are "guys". some sort of little boy with the dangerous power of a full grown man. Look around at the chaos today and you'll see what I mean

Some quick reasons...

* they have their own career and money
* the taboo of an unmarried woman with a child (if they desire a child) is no more
* the pool of single desirable men is growing smaller
* divorced women, who historical remarry at a higher rate that divorced men) are braking with that trend.

My personal view...it's fine with me.

It seems that there are less good eligible men out there, and women dont need that stress. Woman can do it all on their own now. The job, the kids, the house, you name it, we can do it. What do we need a man for? (To mess the house, be lazy, not have a job, and p*ss us off?) no thanks.

So, you are saying more women are deciding to get married. Your wording is strange and I don't think your logic is correct.

I think because more women have careers and can support themselves, fear of the divorce rate and the lack of males willing to com mitt.
