Unfortunately it goes both ways. I am experiencing the same thing in trying to meet a good man. A lot of people who are older and single are that way for a reason, but there are a few of us, like me and you perhaps that aren't so bad, but still having a hard time finding someone.
I think some of these answers you have received are from younger folks, they mean well but don't understand what it is like. :)
I wish you the best in finding a good woman, hey a new year, maybe this is your year to find her!

I think because most older guys want a much younger woman. If you are a rich celebrity you might be able to do that but if you are an average joe, what young woman is going to want a much older man? Also I find it hard to find guys my age and older (I'm 40) that don't act like teenagers with the motorcycles and all that silly stuff.

The answer is because most of the Good woman have been taken and are happily married, which means there are very few left among the many seekers. Having said that, if there's a will then there's a way, don't give up and tell yourself it's just a process of elimination.

It's harder when you get older because all the "good woman" your age are already taken. Aim for someone younger.

Where have you been looking? There ARE decent women available but in trying to FIND one it seems you're missing them instead. Just chill and let the process happen naturally.
