Your friend doesn't share the same feelings, and now feels awkward and uncomfortable that you might take friendly joking around as flirting.
Your friend does not want to lead you on, and appears to have gone in the opposite direction.
The best thing to do is tell your friend that you accept his/her feelings and that you do not take it personally. Ask your friend if he/she thinks you can still be friends.
Chances are you have not lost a friend forever, but your friend doesn't know how to react to your confession.

hrrm, yes and I regret it badly this is after i tried to keep it secret sooner or later someone will say something and destroy your friendship if you try to hide it... worst thing is I still love her even now... we don't speak or anything.
It's hard to say for a while they may, as in my case, just start to treat you badly trying to do anything they can to push you away until you get fed up and get mad. Leading into a long drawn out fight until they decide they want nothing to do with you... that's how it happened for me...

I never told him "I was falling in love with him" but I did tell him "I love you". He said "I love you too". It's not because of those three little words that we're not together.

i have not. but i have a friend who did.
he gave the girl a love letter expressing how much she captivated him. a day after, the girl is ignoring and avoiding him.
it was really shaky afterward but then they became friends again after sometime. but not as wonderful as the one they had at first. it seemed awkward.

yea... i told someone that i liked him and he totally stopped talking to me... he ignores me... it just drives me nuts... i mean so wat if u like one of ur friends?!?!?!?!?!
