especially misleading immigrants...
giving them false hope

Huh? Frankly, I have no clue as to what you are talking about or to whom you are writing about immigrants. State your case to whomever you are writing to (about immigrants and false hope?) and state it as short and sweet as possible. Sounds like you need to write your congressman and/or senator, NOT the media. No one is going to read a 10 page letter, so keep it simple. If you are unable to do this, perhaps a course in remedial reading and writing might help. Or hire someone to write the letter.
