I have run adaware on my computer. it did a great job of detecting spyware and getting rid of it. originally I would look up web sites and this incidious program was redirecting me to other web sites mostly hard core porn. I installed adaware and it got rid of everything I thought but I tried going to web sites again and the same thing happened and i ran adaware again and the same 2 programs had reappeared. something is hiding in my files that adaware cannot detect..Any suggestions what this incidious program could be and how in the world do I root it out of my system.

i don't really trust in adaware as it couldn't erase few file on my pc too. maybe your anti-spyware is not powerful enough. try spyware doctor:

Hi there,

Unfortunately this is a problem I'm hearing on a daily basis now.

The number of people who have AVG, adaware and Spybot installed but then get confused as to why they have been infected is increasing by the day. In all seriousness, these programs (especially spybot and adaware) are no longer good enough to be your only protection against viruses, spyware and adware (as well as trojans, rootkits and other nasties). They used to be great programs a couple of years ago, but have now been overtaken by programs with next-generation approaches.

One program I would strongly recommend you try instead is Prevx1. This has recently been proven as having the strongest protection and cleanup capabilities of ALL security solutions available today so should hopefully fix the problems your current protection has failed to.

Download the Free Trial of Prevx1 which will scan your PC and remove this and any other infections free of charge:

It's worth getting an expert to check your computer out at:

http://www.webuser.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0

Register, go to the Hijack This Forum, read the instructions on how to post a log, give a brief description of your problem (like you've just typed) and post your log there. The guys in there are fantastic and trustworthy and will guide you through in getting rid of anything nasty from your computer.

You must post a HijackThis log as per the instructions, and give the same details of your problems as mentioned in your question here.

when it comes to spyware/adware, it best to have more than one program to remove them. each program has different registry so what one doesn't catch the other will. so try getting one or two more spyware removal programs. Like Spybot Search&Destroy and maybe Windows Defender. you can download these at download.com and they are free.

Download HijackThis ( http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/HijackThis.exe ), run it and save a log. Then paste this log in the forum ( http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewforum.php?f=11 ) . You'll need to register before posting. Someone will help you after posting your log.

Do not fix anything there, as most entries are harmless.

Sounds like a hijacker.

Not the best way but usually the easiest, reformat and reinstall your operating system back to scratch. If you do, make sure you back up all your important data first.
