No and having to have been married should never be a requirement to pay child support. If you're the parent you need to support your child or children.
And it goes both ways. When my ex-wife and I divorced I took custody of our 14 year old son and she had to pay child support. And no, she was a wonderful mother. She had plans to re-marry and move away. It was best for him to stay with me...entering high school.
Pay the child support.....

What a question. You just have to be a parent to have to pay child support.

I hate the way you put that. HAVE to. If you are the parent of the child or children it's your moral as well as legal obligation to help support them. We're talking about CHILDREN here, not puppies or kittens. Face up to your responsibilities.

Nope all you need in order to have to pay child support is to have fathered a child who is in the custody of his//her mother or have given birth to the child who is in the custody of his/her father.

No a parent is still a parent. Sometimes a paturnity test is required in some counties but other than that like I said a parent is still a parent.

You are legally required to if your name is the name on the birth certificate as the father/mother. Then it depends on who has the children and for how long.
