does anybody think that the boyscouts of america is dumb, or is it something to stay into?

im in boyscouts, im just wondering, does anybody know weather its good to stay in it or not, i will, cuz im almost and eagle scout, and i just want some people's opinions for our younger scouts

I don't think they are as great as many do, but I think they do more good then harm. I really like the idea of kids being mentored and having role models outside of the family. I beleive in being helpful to others and being prepared for emergencies.

I'm not real thrilled about the religious aspect of their organization.

I will let my kids know about them and they can decide if they want to join when they are old enough. I'd support them and I'd participate, but I wouldn't be crushed if they didn't like it and wanted to stop.

Beats playing video games. You might learn how to survive in a disaster and take care of your family, gain character and learn team work and learn to seperate your self from the "me, me ,me I" generation. And someday contribute to making the world an actual better place.
