I knew a girl when I was in the air force and she was a big girl but she was also very beautiful, she had these piercing eyes and this long beautiful hair. She reminded me of Kirsty Alley. Everyone is entitled tto their own opinion, however people who judge based on something like size are just superficial

Well, there's been pretty big women that my family and I talked about w/the two words put together.
They can go together, I've seen many
It's the same thing I guess with old=ugly, which is also very silly.
I've seen many old men and woman who looked attractive, some beautiful
Even though beauty truely comes from within, we live in an image/youth/beauty society, so I'm answering your question from a "physical" point of view.
All of us want to feel beautiful on different levels. And from the beginning of time women and men have taken pride in their appearance/beautifying themselves. Let's talk about the Egyptians for a moment~look at how ornate they were-some of them (royalty mainly) dressed so ornately to the point of their clothing looking like costumes, yet overall both sexes wore their make-up to appeal to the opposite sex.
Although beauty is still in the "eye of the beholder", --in some cultures weighing more is viewed as being much more attractive. The way I see it, esp. from a healthy point of view (overall), being a little overweight or even a lot of weight is far more healthier than being skin and bone. Just take a look at all those poor girls and women straving themselves just to meet societal standards when they are influenced by these crazy ads of being unrealistically thin. It's not only ridiculous it's heartbreaking to see and read about some of them dying from anorexia.
But back to your question, I still have heard many people described an overweight female being beautiful, because a lot of them are. But usually they thrown in the "weight bit",....."Oh she's so pretty, beautiful but if she just would lose weight....."
But on the otherhand, have heard people say that about ultra-skinny women too...."Wow, she's so pretty but lost her figure/needs to gain weight" ect.
No matter what one looks like, one benefits most of not only accepting themselves for who they are but LOVING themselves, and even better people loving one another no matter how they look.

I don't know if it's the cultural stigma or what...but it's just not attractive.
It wasn't always like that though. In the middle ages, fat people were revered as royalty and were the subject of a **** ton of paintings.

Society creates this...especially for women. They portray skinny is beautiful....but I have had friends and family throughout my life that were overweight....and beautiful.
Beauty is internal....not external.!
But I dont see how people can keep eating and eating so much to gain so much weight... overweight and obese are two totally different things.

Most people don't look past what they see first (their body).
