I am in the process of obtaining my Texas Real Estate Licence. I would like to be able to practice in FL and CA if possible. If i go through the necesssary state requirements, can i be an agent in more than one state? If so, for how long?

Yes.

You need to meet the state license requirements which will set out both testing requirements to obtain the license You likely will have a continuing education requirement to maintain each license.

There will also be the need to operate from an office or otherwise show how you are doing business. It might mean nothing more than registering your address in your home state. Or it might mean you have to have your license with a broker who operates and otherwise maintains an office in the state. Each state can be different.

I think that you can. I'm a San Antonio Realtor, and I have family in NW Indiana. I've thought about getting an Indiana License too, and either do business up there in summers. I asked my broker about this and he said that he thinks it would be ok - guess it comes down to the state licensing agency. In Texas, that's TREC - Texas Real Estate Commission.
