everyone in that delivery room got their own personal ***** from me at one point in time or another. I had twins, and so my husband got bitched at for getting me pregnant to begin with, the obgyn got bitched out for not taking the second one to be born (my son was stuck half way down the birth canal with no air) via c-section, the baby doc in the room got bitched at because i didn't hear the babies cry right away...especially my son..number 2, and the nurses all got bitched out because no on got the anastesialogist there quick enough, and then he got bitched at when the epidural didn't work.

lol...i was in pain and EVERYONE knew it..

I haven't been there yet, (5 months to go) but when a friend of mine was having her first.... it was the nurse doing the swearing.

Upon the nurse coming on duty she promtly told my friend that "there will be no yelling, swearing, crying or whimpering. I can not stand it when women who watch to much TV think that crap is normal. I will not have it in MY delivery room, do you understand me?"

Now, my friend's water broke 5 days before the labour and they had NOT induced her as the baby was so early. Even the doctors were feeling sorry for her for having to have a dry delivery.

She started to cry when she tore the first time (internally) and the same nurse yelled at her. Let's just say the nurse did not finish the shift in the same room for the sake of her health and safety.

I'm mentally preparing myself to NOT take it out on other people... we'll see how well that goes.

hahaha. i never had to yell or cuss at anyone. I got the epidural and fell asleep for a while it worked so well. I had a quick easy (almost) painless labour and couldn't have been more relaxed and focused (unless of course i had been somewhere other than in the delivery room lol). I'm thinking about doin it natural this time around, so we'll see if i can say the same after this one, Probably not!!!

Nobody... I told myself from the beginning I wouldn't do that, and I never did. I did say I felt like I was dying though when my epidural wore off entirely for 4 hrs before my c-section and almost fully dilated with pitocin too. I cried and cried... thought it would never end... but I never cussed at all.

Got an epidural. slept the first time. Not one swear word was uttered until it wore off and the nurse took her sweet time with my pain medication.

No One!!! I just layed on my side and (QUIETLY!!!) said "ouch ouch ouch!!!!" until they went. I found this worked really well as I suppose my body was saving it's energy, and they didn't really hurt that much anyway. When it did really start hurting I went for the epidural. BEST THING I DID!! Layed there and watched telly pain free, just like a night at home really!

the only time I swore was when the nurse broke my waters for me. I told her to get f'd. Then once she had finished I apologised to her for about half an hour.
