Clinton, because he was such an embarrassment
Bush Sr. he did nothing
Jimmy Carter, everything he did failed, and not to mention the long gas lines at the pumps, we had a gas shortage when he was in office, he made huge tankers set off the coast, and because of this many places ran out of gas.
Lyndon B. Johnson....Kennedy introduced us to Vietnam...but Lyndon kept us in there.....we had not business being there ..... it was a civil war.....Vietnam did not attack us...unlike the Muslims, the did attack us, and I feel that we should be over there, and Saddam got what he deserved, but his death was much more humane that what he did to all those women and children.

Gosh, I hate when people's reasons for liking a President are religious. Where exactly does religion fit into politics? Have those of you who love Bush for his splendid personality and fanatical rhetoric ever taken into account what he's actually done to this country?

And 9/11?? He was reading books upside-down to children, then someone said "Georgie, time to go on the big plane to the big city because you're the freaking President and we already know that there are and will not be any more planes in NYC today as we're actually not allowing planes in." And George replied "The big plane? Can I fly it?" He was told "No, because you're a frigging doofus. Just get on the top of the rubble with a couple of the firemen who are actually doing their job heroically, unlike yourself, and give 'em a flag to plant." George said "Could we declare war on a country that never attacked us, just for sh*ts and giggles?" "Yes," he was told, "Iraq seems a lovely choice."

As for your question, Grim, I'd say he's in office right now, although Jefferson Davis was on pair. I bet they would have been good friends. Jeff and Dicky could have gone hunting and hopefully killed one another. Accidentally. Of course.

I think that history will not be kind to Bush Junior. Conservatives and Liberals both dislike him. He has favorability with the neo-cons, but they're just a loud, whiny fringe group.

Wingnuts will always say Clinton, but that's because despite everything the wingnut partisans did to take him down, he had a 70+% approval rating even in the wake of the impeachment that failed.

Regardless of what the neo-cons say about polls (especially since Bush hasn't seen even 50% favorability in years), they *are* what the public thinks. In the end, that's all that even matters - because the President *works for the people*.

I am going with both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. I choose both of them because they are the two who started this whole two party system. Near the end of his life eorge Washington warned that a two party system should never occur. Now look at what is doing to our country. I dont beleive in all of what Republicans say, but I am so afraid of Democrats that I always have to vote republican. I wish that I had another choice.

To be absolutely sure, George Bush because the other ones, no matter how bad, I have not experienced them myself, I would be depending 100% on other peoples/historians' words.

But this one, I can feel myself. This one is George Bush!

We look at how strong he is, A leader...911 remember...?
Don't get caught up in dat ol media generated manufactured consensus!
Remember you only tackle the man with the ball in football, cause he is the only one who can score.
So you are just proving to me how much on the Ball he must be.
As a Canadian it seems to me He must be a great president , as well very effective, a man of great stature. Years a head of his time. Only many years from now will they honor Him.
Bush is a man of God. He can not tell you everything now can he? So others take advantage of that.
He is an honorable man of God.

Mr. Peanut (jimmy Carter). He failed at everything that he tried to do. He was a failure domestically and abroad. He accomplished nothing and he left a big mess for someone to clean up.
