You are ambitious today! The best thing to do is check the instruction/ recipe book that comes with your your specific microwave. This is essential. Unless you have to have a very big microwave or a very small turkey, it would be hard to fit a whole turkey in there. See what your book says or call the manufacturer. I am not sure what you are proposing is possible or advisable. I have thawed chicken in a microwave but not a whole chicken and have cooked various cuts of meat, poultry, and fish, but it takes a long time, there are sometimes grease explosions, or uneven cooking unless the item is boned, and the item may get too dried out. Dryness could be especially a problem with turkey which has relatively little fat and tends to be dry under the best of conditions unless basted at regular intervals. Microwave cooking would not be my first choice for preparing a turkey. The "popcorn" button would probably not be relevant. You would need to determine time based on fresh or frozen and weight and you really need to consult your book to find out if this is safe and the best way to cook your turkey. If you do not have a regular or convection oven you might find a whole cooked turkey at a local grocery store or business such as "Boston Market" or similar stores which prepare entrees and while dinners for customers to consume at home---- specialized take out catering establishments. Such places usually have a rotisserie where they cook various birds and meats for. Good luck and happy turkey eating.

Yes. I have to hit the refresh button all the time. Yahoo has been doing a lot of work on this site lately. They should get everything smoothed out soon.

Susan, I'm so glad you asked that question. Mine has been doing it for several hours now. And when you go from a best answer email, to view it, it shows an oops screen with URL is busy etc. etc.

Mine was doing that for a little bit when I first logged on here. I had to submit everything twice to get it to post once.
