Best is probably the Nvidia 7800 GS but that's $300+ CDN
You can go for this one which is not bad -->GeForce 7600 GT AGP 256MB. It will be a lot faster than what you have now.

AGP is a dying breed of graphic cards, i have a Nvidia 6800 GT 256MB on AGP. There are simply not many more cards coming out of AGP, PCI express is where the future is. however, there are some cards still ut there. the top two would be Nvidia 7800 GS, or its ATI counterpart the X1950. both of these are over 128Mb, but more is better.

definite, you may have asked before you acquire. My situation right here might the that unique AGP enjoying cards have been run at 3.3V and the greater contemporary fashions are at a million.5V. putting a card that's calling forward to a million.5V and getting 3.3V is going to make an enormously loud popping noise and bring particularly some smoke very with out postpone. That mentioned, i think of it exchange into basically AGP a million.0 that exchange into like this so which you would be ok on that score. the different factor is that definite, an 8x will in good shape right into a 4x motherboard yet will basically run at 4x by way of fact the board can not take care of the rest.

Don't buy a 128MB video card. Most games are now requiring a minimum of a 256MB video card, and that won't be changing in the future. I'd recommend the 7600GS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Category=38&N=2010380048+106790717+1067920619+1069609639&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=48 It has amazing performance, for it's price.

128MB is the memory of the video card and the AGP x8 is the circuitry version of the AGP... you could not easily replace them if your PC is capable only with x2, x4 and not x8...coz it will damage your board and video card...
be careful! try another which is better than yours now, like 256MB and compatible with your board...
