Have you guys ever noticed that in almost all sitcoms that involve a family, they always have quarts of milk instead of gallons or half gallons like normal families? Do any real families that drink milk actually by quart sized?

I don't drink milk or eat cereal so If I bought some it would be for cooking, and I would buy a quart. However I have kids so we go through about a gallon a day lol.

It is easier to grab and hold and there is fear of dropping a half gallon and blowing a take.
