It is a serious question. I am not looking for one word or one sentence answers. Answer only if you are matured enough to make serious deicisons or chosen short cut methods to make a decision.

What kind of decision? Some people take short-cuts when making some kinds of decisions beause it is something they are familiar with, something they don't have to bother to look through.

Other people take shortcuts because sometimes, they just don't know what to do or don't want to waste time thinking things through. Usually, it's this type of person who gets screwed over.

As for me, I prefer to read through the instructions before I leap in, I like knowing what I'm getting into. Hopefully, I'll avoid embarassment this way.

Many, not all, people seek the path of least resistance. The driven, or motivated ones do or think because they have set guidelines or goals and so place themselves in a mode that requires reinforcement of this goal or guideline. So, usually the more short-cuts one may take, the less goal oriented their lives may be. I could be wrong but thats from my own experience and from examples I have seen.

People use shortcuts because they are (usually) tried and true methods of achieving optimum results in minimal time.
Short but to the point, in other words.

Basically I believe that people take short cuts because most people are lazy. I have done so out of lazyness.

some people make this kind of decision just to save time and if it call for it...but most of them does it because of laziness and just want to resolve it faster....though making short-cuts just makes it worse or makes it better...that's all i can say.....you can also be spontaneous without making short-cut decisions...just think twice or thrice to be sure of what you're doing is correct.

this does not study as if you've written it--once you've I apologise--in case you have not do not put up it because that's going to likely be tossed out as plagarism. study it through take the small print and placed them into your own words.
