... do they have more interest in sex than usual? I mean... I know sex is 80% mental, but do women feel any increased physical drive or desire to have sex during that time of the month?

i have to say that i do.. and intensely so. my mates have even commented on it.

i suppose it's nature's way of ensuring the continued repopulation of the species!

You can't see a women ovulating. But if you monitor her body temperature, on 12th to 14th day you will find one degree increase in body temp, this is the time of ovulation. Desire has nothing to do with it.

Actualy women ar a lot like the canine species. When a female dog is in heat they "flag" their tail meaning they are accepting of a male. Women are more snuggly, to be non-medical, especially from ovulation to when they are on their period. It is hormonally induced.

Not consciously. But many anthropological and sociological studies have shown that when women are ovulating, they tend to dress more provocatively than is usual for them.
