its by plato and i have to answer some questions on it. for example in the second scene it shows a man trying to cope with a new vision of reality. what is his first and second reaction?

It's quite short. You ought to just read it. In a textbook, it is just a page and a half. Here is a link to it where you can read it online:

Like most Plato, it is written as a conversation between Socrates and his students. The first paragraph of the link is an introduction to Plato. You can skip that and start where it says "Socrates:" in bold print. That is the beginning of the story.
