Multiply both sides by 3/2. This will give you
3/2 * 2/3 * n = 3/2 * 660
1 * n = 3/2 * 660
n = 3/2 * 660

That is what you want - n by itself on one side and the numbers on the other. You do this by performing the same operations to both sides, in such a way as to 'undo' what is being done to n in the equation.

Multiply both sides by 3/2 to cancel the 2/3

3/2 * 2/3 * n = 660 * 3/2
n = 990

2/3 x n = 660
n= 660 divide by 2/3
n = 660 x 3/2
n= 330 x 3
n= 990

well i like the way the others have solved it better. But ive always been weird in maths and do things the weird way.

2/3 x n = 660
n = 660 x 2/3
n= 660 x 0.666667
n = 989.9999505

2/3 * n = 660

multiply both sides by (3/2)

(3.2) * 2/3 * n = 660 * (3/2)

1n = 990

n = 990

just do like this
2n=(660)3

2n=1980

2n / 2=1980 / 2
