MAC obviously is the best and most makeup artists use it.
If anyone ever heard of Mally Roncal, the celebrity makeup artist, you should try Mally Beauty.

I am obsessed with makeup and probably own half of Sephora (lol) so I can say from experience that no one brand makes the 'best' makeup. Different companies excel at different things. Here are my favorite brands by makeup type:
foundation - Clinique
powder - Benefit
blush - MAC
eyeshadow - NARS
eyeliner - MAC
mascara - Dior or Bourjois
lipstick - MAC
I guess all in all, MAC makes the most of the best types of products. I still highly suggest makeupalley though! You can even swap makeup with other gals to try it out.

i don't personally think that mac is the best and find it overrated- well, their foundations at least. Although, i do love their eyeshadows which come in an array of colours like no other brand.
I couldn't live without my bobbi brown smooth skin foundation and powder. Nars products are also fantastic, the belle du jour lippie is the best natural shade and their blushers are divine.
Christian Dior also do good eyeshadows, their quads, especially beige masaii is gorgeous.Pout do the best plumping lip gloss, the caramel shade is amazing.

Lipgloss Victoria's Secret
Eyeshadow Estee Lauder
I use what doesn't make my skin break out and looks good on my fair skin.

my fave mascara is Max Factor 2000 Calorie in Auburn
my fave lip gloss is Chocolate Fling in Avon Glazewear and Cuddles by Bonne Bell Kiss This Gloss
my fave blush/highlighter is Blend n' Glow by Bonne Bell
My fave lipstick is Rose Tea by Estee Lauder (I wore this on my wedding day)
my fave eye liner is Flat Iron by NYC Color or Black Plum by Bonne Bell
Eyeshadow is Inspiration or Romance by Rimmel. love their black shadow to use as an eyeliner as well
my fave foundation is Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral by L'Oreal
My fave body glow product is Nuxe D'Or which is so elegant and nice...
Skin Care would have to be products LaRoche-Posay or Face Doctor...

MAC. Some of the best products around, and not insanely expensive (although not cheap either).
I love their Studio Fix powder foundation, concealer, mascara, and lipgloss.
I look at it this way...Nicky Hilton can afford any brand in the world. And she uses MAC. ;)
OPI face and body shimmer is also great.

Definitely Bobbi Brown! Looks natural no matter how much you apply....but for photoshoots...M.A.C works well. I like both....
Try Bobbi's eye concealer kit (comes with the pale yellow loose powder) provides the best coverage for dark circles.

Bare Escentuals but Laura Mercier is has an awesome tinted moturizer that's great on really hot days :)
