how can I help him through the next weeks, month? He wants to be clean, and is miserable going through it in front of me- but I just want him well. What can be done to ease this process- cause it is terrible for him even though he is weaning off the drug slowly? He doesn't sleep, is grouchy, jumpy, has leg cramps, emotional, can't stand noise, etc...

You can listen to him & be supportive. Other than that, he needs to go about it himself.
As far as his symptoms go, what do you really expect? Detox is an awful experience for anybody, but that's what happens when you abuse drugs & your body is addicted. Addiction to drugs is something preventable. People who choose to abuse drugs are forewarned.

Why do you feel like you have to help him? Let him work it out himself. Of course you may bring him soup or fluff up his pillow, but really there is not much you can do for someone who is detoxing. I'm actually surprised that he's not being medically supervised. They often ween you off meth. by reducing the dose, not cold like your boyfriend appears to be doing!
Remember, meth is worse than any illegal drug he was doing. If he can get through the next little while, he'll start to feel better after a few days. Then the real work starts. Hopefully he's seeing someone to discuss why he took drugs in the first place. What void he was trying to fill. Good luck.

Just be there for him and be supportive and rub his legs and talk with a doctor with him to see if there is any medication that can help ease these symptoms he is having.

hmmm well if i were him i wouldnt want you to go away so i could deal with it myself because then i would most lily relapse. So you should just chill away from him and let him do his own thing, but when he needs you or needs something logical, i would for sure hook him up. just stick with it and no matter how hard it gets just think of how much good this will do for both your relationship and him.

That's a lot for you to deal with. If he truly wants to quit why don't you have him go into rehab where they have trained professionals that can help him get through it.

have him go to a rehab clinical to do it. They can give him drugs to help with some of the withdrawal symptoms he will be having.

that's withdrawl for ya. The only thing that will fix it is time. Good luck to you, you'll have your work cut out for you. He's lucky to have you, even if he's oblivious to that fact right now.
