I guess it depends on what I was talking about and how strongly I feel about it. However "Shut up" is VERY disrespectful, there are better ways to say it. It ALSO depends on the age of the person telling me to shut up.

Well I would probally curse in signlanguge to them since they don't know what I am talking about and I would just say" and your point is in this lesson??" or maybe" keep on going I know its going to get more exciting" or " (pretending typing a message on phone) Oh I am sorry did you say something I was distracted" yeah some things like that but they would also be in french so they would be different languge because everyone in Paris speaks french thats how you live lol its like america you have to know english to live there.

the only time it happens is jokingly between me and friends. I always say "don't tell me to shut up, you shut up" that's my thing.

Depends on who it is. I'm 25, but if my mother told me to shut up, I'd probably shut up. Anyone else, I'd probably tell them to f*ck off!
