Now ppl lets be honest. Its a hypothetical, some of you are thinking too hard :), I know its unlikely for you to find out im just asking a question. I know in the medical professions there are many diseases that can easily be caught, im just speaking about sexually is all. Its also unlikely that you will get some std from doc from touch (lets not be ignorant), true there are some out there though. me and a friend were talking and i asked her this question so i wanted to ask u guys. My stance was that although ppl are sometimes careless, shouldn't this be an area that an ob/gyn is not careless in? (true they are human, im just saying)

Well, no, I haven't ever thought about this one before :-)

I did have an OB/GYN who had an unplanned pregnancy, though! She was frank with me about it, too. That was interesting.

I guess it would really depend, a lot, on the person, how well I knew him or her, and what I might know about the situation.

HIV is all too easy for medical personnel to get without any sexual involvement at all - one screwed up needlestick, and there you go. And I was involved with someone who worked in a virology lab. Do you have ANY idea how often he had to be tested to make sure he hadn't picked something up at work? That was more than a little nerve-wracking, let me tell you! There are FAR more viruses going through labs than just HIV, too!

I've also known people who caught STDs because of unfaithful spouses, when they absolutely had every reason to believe that they were in monogamous relationships. So I just wouldn't be too quick to judge. You never know when you might be the one who gets that kind of thing through absolutely NO fault of your own!

Hulk Hogan, I actually have various respect for what he has done for the Wrestling market yet his previous Steriod Use and truth tutor tarnished his image IMO truly at the same time as his son nick became imprisoned and those telephone calls that they had were really annoying in a be counted, they were downing and insulting the more youthful guy that became tragically injured interior the motorcar coincidence with nick and him utilising Steriods for countless years really dissatisfied me as a baby ,Hulk remains a good man or woman yet that correct there style of replaced my perception of Hulk Hogan as someone not a Wrestler.

I'd be more concerned as to why that info was being divulged to me. I guess that would make me think less of him/her because being an OB?GYN they should follow their own advice, of course unless they got the std from being raped.

no, not at all.
anyone can be careless, carefull and / or protected yet STILL contract an STD. things happen.

as long as i'm not having sex with my ob/gyn (oral, vaginal or otherwise) then there's no need for me to be concerned with their SEXUALLY transmitted diseases.

i have to be truthful and say yes. it would scare me having him exam me! what if something went wrong? i don't want to get it. know if it was just a friend, then no. less likely for this kinds of accidents to happen.

I don't know how you would learn something like that. If you have heard something about your doctor, it's probably gossip. I'd ignore it.

It wouldn't change my opinion of them per se, I'd just prefer that they wouldn't touch me anymore. I'd seek a new doctor.
