Politics can adversely effect the developement of any country, it's a question of priorities, stone age or modern world, you can strike a balance though, start with clean, enviromentally friendly technology from the start, don't waste time paving roads with asphalt, don't allow bad chemicals that don't break down to be dumped into your rivers, don't build smokestacks that are just tall enough to get the pollution a few miles away, build them with modern emmission cleaning equipment. And whatever you do, do NOT depend on foreign energy supplies if you can use wind, water, tidal or solar energy locally, instead of big power plants hundreds of miles away with big powerlines all over, create as much of the supply as near the demand as possible.

Yes.Politiciansand political parties work and fight against each other and stall the projects for different states, with selfish motive.
Politicians and political must be made accountable. All politicians must be paid decent salaries so that they need not go to public to collect in the name of donations for the party.
Every political party big or small must own a newspaper to spread their policies to the people throught the year.
Election process must be made simple and should be completed in two weeks.Public meetings should not be allowed for the purpose of election propaganda.
Politicians are working all the time for theier survival and do not think about the service to the people.

Politics is beneficial when the ministers follow a country loyalty and service approach and not only me but everyone in India thinks that politicians are not handling the country administration properly.
Only one thing can rectify this is a strong political base and a " whoever deserves it gets it" strategy, neither influences, discriminiation, race, religion should'nt affect it.
I think that youngsters should be encouraged to get into politics and not the above 45 politicians cos they have only experience but no energy, they think about themselves and not the country Youngsters should be given a chance to atleast have one standing in the parliament cos they always have better practical ideas which will be beneficial to the country and also they are energetic to handle pressure and weaknesses.
Thank you
