John Denver's "Annie's Song."

It's written in the key of D for the guitar, and I found that once I sang it to my sweetheart it took on a whole new meaning that had never been there before. It's truly personal now that makes my heart soar whenever I either hear it or sing it.

Find a song that you like, and then take "ownership" of it. Then will it be truly felt by the heart, and not only by you, but by those who hear you sing it.

"Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes. It may not be the "beautiful" kind you're looking for, but listen to it. You can really feel Clapton's emotions when he sings it. After all, he wrote for a woman he was madly in love with. Also try Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" is good for guitar too.

I think that the song "I can only imagine" is beautiful. I also agree with the person who suggested "Home" by Michael Buble.
My choices are "Amazing Love" by the Newsboys. If we're steering away from the religious I like "everybody Hurts" by REM and "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones.
