I am doing a project and I have to write a paragraph describing my two groups using appropriate descriptive statstics such as means, standard deviations, min, max, range, and any other variabels I would like to include. The problem is I am not using numbers, but rather words(like in a survey) How do you find these for words???!!!!!

I got it solved. It was a survey for a class where I gave information that could not be correlated to numbers, so instead I just played around with it . Thanks!

It's kind of limited what you can do with qualitative data, unless you can somehow translate it into numbers.
Even if you could translate it into numbers (for example 1 = very satisfied ... 5 = very unsatisfied) you'd have a problem because these are not integer-ratio data, that is, there is no fixed unit scale with a fixed zero.
You might look into nonparametric statistics methods.

Use a software SPSS for the data analysis.
