2048 mb DDRII SDRAM - DDRII 800 240 pin( major brand) and 2048mb DDRII 800 Memory 240 pin ( Kingston).
I'm asking this because theres 120$ difference between those 2. ( http://www.lucomputers.com/aStore/default.asp?selection=customize&systemid=2692)
Is it because of the brand?

Yes there is a difference.

The kingston brand probably has a better guarantee on their memory, because they do better testing of their memory.

It may also be rated for faster timings.

But looking at the packaging of the Kingston RAM it looks like the ram i bought which is just standard RAM.

Hence this Kingston RAM will NOT have too greater timings on it.

Don't waste your money buy the Major Brand.

The only time you should waste the extra 120$ , is if that was Kingston HyperX Memory , and it's not so not worth the money.

Probably, cuz I checked the prices between Kingston and Corsair and there was a difference of $20. However, there maybe a difference between the rpm of the RAM sticks you mentioned above.

Spec wise they are identical. There are other relevant (but not really critical) statistics not shown in your post, such as CAS timing.

THe reason one is more expensive is because it is Kingston, you typically have a lifetime warranty (Not all their products do though)

Also they tend to have good testing and QC and very low failure rates, I can't remember -any- stick of Kingston memory ever being returned as defective, in my computer industry experience.

Well from the specifications you gave us it looks like they are exactly the same. (I can't open the link).

It might be because of the brand but I'm not 100% sure because Kingston is a pretty well known brand

yes its bcaz of the brand and few of my friends they own a computer shop so they say that kingston rams are the best. I think it has to be with the difference of the performance.
