How do you feel about older men dating younger females?

Some people feel that when a younger female dates a older man, she's looking for a father figure and when a older man dates a younger girl, he wants someone to control or he can't handle a woman his age. I totally disagree, why can't a younger female just be that mature to carry her own. I always dated older and I was never controlled. I was 16 dating a man that was 26, he took my virginity, I was always mature mentally and physically and to this day at 21 I never felt he took advantage of me. Yes in this world today, I dont think its safe to date like that now, with all the perverts and mentally deranged men out there, but sometimes it's so REAL, but at the same time, As a hypocrite, I would never let my younger sibling date like that, I knew how strong I was emotionally and mentally so I knew how to handle myself as a teenager playing the role of a woman. How do you feel about situations like this. I would especially like to hear from the Men who likes younger females.

Wow, I love the answers, but here's another question: The majority of people here said they are ok with it, so why when it is put out in the public, people make such a big deal about it, for example: R.Kelly.. the girl in the tape did not seem like she had a problem with it, he probably even lied about her age, she was taking dick like a pro and getting her salad tossed like a pro...but the media was so outraged...Kelly made a fool of himself by saying it wasnt him...but the media was ready to hang his a**.

Okay, check this out. The differences are relative. For instance ... which is more appropriate: a 12 year old dating an 18 year old, or a 16 dating a 22 year old? Kick it up a notch, what about a 20 year old dating a 26 year old?

It's all relative to the ages involved. In my scenario's above, the age difference is always 6 years, but obviously the older the two get, the less inappropriate it seems.

But really, I've never had a problem with women dating older men who are around 4-6 years older. The fact of the matter is that women mature fast than men. So many times women are drawn to older men just to get an emotional equality.

I don't see anything wrong with dating older men I do believe that there is a point where you have to say okay maybe that's too old why am i attracted to this person to make sure it's the right reasons but I'm talking like 30 years. I was always the same way I grew up really fast because of stuff at home and was always really mature so I wasn't looking for someone who wasn't on the same level as me. Why would you be with someone who you didn't feel could help better you. I think that you should realize that there is nothing wrong with dating someone older and everyone has to be the judge of who they want in their life. If you younger sibling wanted to date someone older who wasn't a complete failure or something you should let them experience that for themselves, by telling them that you have a problem with it you are making it so they are going to feel unable to talk to you about it. Then if something goes wrong they wont have anyone there to turn to, with you being in the situation before you would be ideal to be able to talk to. To help them understand the situation.

There are also some men who date older women, but the difference in age is only by a couple years, not many. Beacuse my older cousin who is 25 dated a girl who was 28, and I think that is considered weird for a couple (or for a guy to date a older woman) but they seemed really happy together ... although they later seperated, and now he is with another girl, but whatever they where happy at the time.

But as for girls dating older guys, I don't see the problem in it. I don't know about a 16 year old dating a 26 year old ... I think that is still a little too much, but age is just a number. Also you said there are lot's of crazy men, but there are also lot's of crazy women too, but sometimes you don't hear about them as much! I'm only 15 years old so maybe I don't know as much about this stuff as other people do, but yeah ... that's just my opinion!!

Biologically men are sterile untill very old age and their desire never dies, Whereas in the case of women it is not so. Also as the age grows in men they are more soft and steady and are more durable than younger men . Summing up all the above the older men prefer younger girls because they are having more desires and similarly women seek older men since they are more mature and good in bed . Thats all nothing less or nothing more.

We're talking about 2 adults here, not child molesters. I think that younger women find older men to be more stable, reliable, and more mature than younger guys. Most older guys are done "sewing their wild oats" and have put the partying days behind them. The idea of finding a man who will be a responsible husband and father outweighs the fact that he may be older.

hell, if they are old enough to go out then i don't see a problem with it, i generally stay away from women that have not reached a certain age yet because they tend to be deranged and nuts, and older women seem to be more stable, but if a girl wants to date an older guy then i don't see the problem in that

Honest answer: thousands of women around the world,prefer to date older men than younger men for many reasons.Nothing wrong about that.what you say is right.Good question.Others women prefer dating men of the same age,or few years older.All is up to the women, who like or want to date older men.

I dont care about it. I think its ok. I dont like when older girls date younger boys. I think thats weird. I little desperate. Im 17 and my boyfriend is almost 22. He is also the father of my child. I was always attracted to older boys. Men around my age are just not on my level..

Depends on the age gap and how young the girl is.......
ie - 18yr girl with a 40yr man is SUPER gross...
But if your say, 23 and going out with a 30yr man i think that might be ok... as (Sorry guys) Alot of my guy friends are as dumb as f***. Immature as well.......

It is okay just as long as the girl isn't like 18 with a 50 year old. ten or fifteen year difference is okay.
