LMP.
The ultrasound isn't extremely reliable with dates/sizes. It's good for getting a general idea, and making sure everything is developing properly, but specifics can be off by a bit.

It's most likely that the ultrasound you just got will be the most accurate of anything (including future ones) because early u/s like that are the most accurate. If you have nomally irregular cycles, than it's also more likely than your LMP to be accurate. And how do you know the difference between feeling 6 and 8 weeks pregnant? lol. Sickness doesn't normally start until a little later, but it all depends on how your body reacts to the hormones, and could also be stress-related. Go by the due date they gave you during your ultrasound, and as far as the websites go, some different websites (and other pregnancy information sources) go by how many weeks pregnant you are, and others go by what week you are in. If you are in your 8th week, you have only 7 weeks completed and are only 7 weeks. Don't worry about the actual number though, because different ones use different ways of counting. As long as you use the same due date, you should be getting the right information! Hope this helped. Congratulations!!

I had those problems with my last two pregnancies. I didn't keep track of my period because I was on the pill so I had no clue when my babies were due. I mean I had a clue but the range was more than 2 weeks apart. Doctors can sometimes tell with ultrasounds by the measurements. That's what they did for me. I think at around 4-5 months you will get an ultrasound. They'll do alot of measuring and they will be able to give you a more exact date instead of a guesstimate. Hope this helps and good luck!

I would say ultrasound are very accurate. I am in your sitatution as well. I calculate that I should be 9 wks preg but when I have my first visit I was told that I was only 7 wks. I ovulated later than I thought I did that's why I was only 7 wks preg instead of 9. This could be your sitatution as well. You stated that you never had a regular cycle. Alot of women I knew had morning sickness even before taking the pregnancy test. At this point I don't think you it matter much if the baby is 8-9 wks as long as the baby is healthy. Focus on eating healthy and getting plenty of rest. In the next couple of wks you may find the exact wks of tha baby. Best wishes to you. I am 7wks preg myself we may have same due dates.

The Ultrasound isnt always correct. Wait until your next one and see how it measures up. Also watch the size of your stomach by measuring your uterus you can tell how far along you are. When i went for my 20 week ultrasound they said the baby only measured 19 weeks but i had my belly measured and he said i measured 21 weeks..and like you Ive never had a regular cycle either mine was always 21-24 days. And also like you they moved my due date and gave me a RANGE of days the baby could be born from April 30th to May 10th. So although they like to make us think they know everything sometimes the Doctors dont take everything into consideration when giving a due date.

Take a deep breath and relax...
This is so normal, your due date will change a few times and the baby most likely wont even be born on the date they give you. The date is just an approximate to give you a guideline as to when the birth will occur.
Your body will change quickly so just be accepting of it and try not to get too nervous about it...just go with the flow and try to enjoy the experience.
If you have questions read some of the many many books about pregnancy so you know what is happening and what is going to happen.
Also flood your midwife with questions when you see her so you will have all the knowledge and will not need to ask strangers questions...lol
All the best to you

This is all normal. I would go according to the ultrasound, that measures the baby and usually gives a pretty accurate date. When they start to measure your stomach that gives a pretty good measure of how far you are a long also.
Bloating can do a number on your body and the hormones also. That is the cause of your pants not fitting and your boobs getting bigger. Just wait they will all keep growing and getting bigger and bigger for another 32 wks. or so.

Early ultra sounds are not always correct, they normally go by measurements at this point, which is not the best way to calculate. If the baby is ok then try not to worry. Im sure your next scan will tell you something totally different again.
Good luck
