This can be a result of cramps, but if it worries you that much you can go see your gynecologist, to put any worries to rest. Even if you don't have cramps you can feel, your body still tenses up, and many more things "down there" become ALOT more tender when you're on your period.

Some women get real sore in that area that time of the month. I have never heard of sharp pains though. See an OBGYN just to be safe.

Towards the end of your pregnancy, the bones in your pelvis start to separate to allow the baby to pass through the birth canal without breaking you. It's very painful! Also, it could be how the baby is positioned, maybe you have dropped and he is just putting pressure on a nerve or muscle.

i have explained this to a few people now, that pain is the ovulation, there are 2 different pains... cramps from them uscles jerking and the ovulation... it does hurt.. but its more like an uncomfy type of electric shock, it shouldnt be that serious but if it gets really bad you should speak to your doctor.

Perhaps you should see a doctor. I recently saw an ad about HPV on tv, and most people don't even know when they have it, so they should get regular pap tests. You should discuss your symptoms with a doctor.

If it's new, it's worth going to the gyno over. It could be endometriosis (uterine lining where it doesn't belong) or another problem, or at best just cramps.
