Hi, I need to pick a writing topic for a memoir and I don't know how to pick one. I can't think of anything to write about and I need to get a topic tonight so I can start on my memoir for school. Thanks for your help!

I hope I interpreted what you need right. If this memoir has to be true, then you pick about a moment in your life that was touching and that has allowed you to become a better person, over come adversity, or simple had the greatest impact upon your life.
If it can be fictional, and you are just making up memoirs, then make one up that fall under one of the three catagories above.

Write about a childhood memory or a happy one or a difficult time in your life. Think of something that stands out in your mind. How about the first time you did something new. How hard was it and how did it feel when you got it right.Write about a journey of some sort that you took. A train or plane or car trip. A boat trip or something that is vivid in your mind.

Try writing about your most embarassing moment. It is something that you remember well, so you should be able to describe the event in detail. Talk about what happened, how you reacted, and what you learned from the experience....
