What can manager do to keep his current employees motivated? What are some motivation techniques that manager uses that are not effected?

If one uses the management style of total quality management employee empowerment would be an effective tool as a motivator. In TQM everyone in am organization has a responsibility for the quality of that organization's quality of products and customer service. Giving employees some "ownership" in the processes and decision making process of an organization.

A manager can motivate an employee by giving incentives. Also, by acknowledging the good job being done. An extra day off can also motivate an employee to work harder.
