Raw human feces cannot be used as a plant fertilizer because it contains harmful bacteria that will enter the vascular system of the plant. Think of the E. coli incidents in the news recently.
Human feces must undergo a heat-composting to kill the bacteria before using it as a fertilizer. There are composting toilet systems advertised in places like Mother Earth News for those living off the grid and no other means of disposing of their waste. These units reduce waste to an ash-like substance that may be used as a fertilizer.

No and yes. Human feces is protein based and in an untreated, fresh state, cannot be used. Only feces that is vegetation based is good for fertilizer. If human feces is treated and/or properly composted to remove all of the dangerous bacteria that is carried through protein based feces, it can be used.

I was thinking about something along this line the other day and I would think the only feces you could use as fertilizer would be from any animal that was a true vegetarian. No meat, no dairy, no harmful bacteria. No?

NO.. not unless you want to get some very nasty bugs and diseases. Why do you think that they close public access to areas where there has been a sewerage spill- its certainly not because of the smell !!
Now having said that human faeces is used in developing countries like china because they don't have proper sanitation processes, cant dispose of it and they cant afford commercial fertilisers. The problem is that there are nasties in it like E.coli and others (I cant think of ) that are very harmful and will quite happily live on the plants until some sucker comes along and eats the contaminated vegies- trip to hospital is the likely outcome!!
Here in Australia some councils are in fact using human faeces to create garden compost (mixed with waste plant material from public parks) but it is stringently monitored by the health authorities and it goes through all sorts of special processes to kill off the nasties but even when they sell the surplus, it is sold with warning that it is not to be used for production of food.
DONT use it... get rid of it the way the rest of us do!

Yes it is. Many waste water treatment plants (sewerage plants) around the world sell off the treated screened (for garbage like dolls, needles, littler, money, drugs, etc.) solid matter to large fertiliser production companies for use in fertilisers as well as to the private garden owner.
Only a few conutries around the world have banned this practice due their publics irrational fears about it.
Hope this helps.

I think it can make a very good fertilizer, what's even better is a corpse, i'm not being morbid, i've heard that often if someone is bumped off and are buried shallow the plants above thrive on it.

Yes it can be used and is used in several place around the world, including the U.S. A place i go to in Nigaragua has large tubs under the latrenes. When the tubs are full they are replaced and the full tubs are covered for 6 months then the contents are used for fertlizer. Eat lots of bannanas while filling your tub. Great source of potassium.

Yes, it can. I travel in an area with quite a few farms around and let me tell you, it smells horrible. They do have to treat it or something before it can be used as fertilizer.
