1. click on "START"
2. click on "Set Program Access and Defaults"
3. click on "Custom" and then click the little circle with the 2 down arrows to the right of the "Custom" button.
4. Scroll down to "Choose a Default Media Player" and click on "Windows Media Player"
5. click "OK" and you should be set!!!.

Step 3 and 4 are clicked in the little circle to the left (sorry about that).

Be aware that there are some little square boxes to the right of all the options, and if you would like to allow access to other applications make sure there is a green tick inside the box "by clicking in the box"

Hope this helps ;-).

1st may i say be carefull before you click on any of the links that people have sent you, they may well be with good intention with no malicious intent, but can you really be sure of their content? i have more or less the same problem, but i find wmp10 to be quite satisfactory,if (in my veiw)the video won't play then (again in my veiw it isn't worth watching. if you click start>all programs you should find windows media player there, click it you'll get onto windows site scroll thro till you find wmp click the link & you should get what you want. good luck.
