There are very few places where women *don't* accept being approached by men. The "right" man can always do it. several things can make a man "wrong" -- being too old is one of them, being slovenly is another; bad manners, tackiness, etc.

If you are a well dressed, good looking young dude with good verbal skills, women will not reject your approach.

To the extent that you lack these characteristics, you may be able to improve your odds anyway. Dress appropriately. Get a shave and a haircut. Brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash. If you have cavities, get them fixed. If you have missing teeth, by all means get a bridge or false teeth.

If you smoke, understand that you smell of it, and so you will probably only appeal to women who also smoke.

If you do all these things and still fail, then you may need to lower your sights a bit. That is -- are you approaching women above your social class? Well, you may have to ratchet up your class, or look a level lower for women.
