Leopard geckos are the easiest reptile pet! I have had treefrogs, bearded dragons, red-earred sliders and leos and I would definitely say to go with a leo if you're wanting an easy pet! You need a 10gallon tank and lid, water dish, food dish, UTH (under tank heater), calcium powder, multivitamin powder, dry hide (like a cave or log from petstore) and a moist hide that you make out of a tupperware container. You feed them superworms, mealworms, waxworms (occassionaly) and mealworms. I highly recommend them as one of the easiest pets ever to anyone! They're great. Do a lot of research first though like at these sites...

The above comment makes no sense. Leopard Geckos, Bearded dragons and Crested geckos all make great pets for the first time reptile keeper. They are all hardy and tolerate some handling. Leopard geckos do fine in a ten gallon tank. A bearded dragon will need a 40 gallon and a crested would need a tall screen cage like 20x12x30 in.. I'd check out www.kingsnake.com for good info, caresheets, etc.

Be sure hand-washing is perplexed. If he's staying in his very own cage, and all heating kit is going with him, then it fairly is not too puzzling on him, besides the undeniable fact that i could keep away from it to each distinctive weekend. demonstrate his appetite...If his appetite seems decreased, which you will stop sending him homestead with childrens. determine any heating instruments are controlled employing a thermostat or rheostat--you do not % any hearth destructive components, the two. If a heat temperature lamp is used on the cage, it won't be the conventional selection, those can initiate fires if located incorrectly or knocked over. in spite of if it fairly is a juvenile gecko, he must be fed as lots as he can consume in one sitting, wide-unfold, and all bugs must be dusted with a calcium powder containing weight-alleviation plan D3. get rid of any last bugs after 15 mintues. If he's an individual, feed him each distinctive day.

Leapord geckos are amazing very easy to take care of but at first he may be a little shy but i would let him have about a week or two to settle in and then just take it slow like start with petting him a bit and let him get used to you.

gecko's are a bit high maintenance, they need heat laps & such, plus they freak out & their tails fall off ewwwwww. I'd say a tree from or an anole( a type of lizard). All the need is water, crickets and mist them a couple times a day.
