Can someone see into another persons computer if they are on the same router, if windows firewall is on?

Are you sure it's a router? Because, if it's a switch, he may be able to see traffic going to and coming from your computer (but not what's ON your computer).

If it is a router, does he have access to the router? Is he allowed to configure it? If so, he could configure it to allow him to watch your traffic, but again it would only show what's going to and coming from your computer. (So, if you're logged into Yahoo, he could see what you're typing and read what you read.)

dude, probably not... as long as you have windows firewall on, you should be good. after all, windows made the operating system, who knows better how to protect it, right?

why.. are you afraid your roommate knows something he shouldn't?

If person A had shared his entire root (C:) drive on the network, then another person would be free to look into person A's computer. Otherwise, no.
