Who has read the Horse Whisperer?

What did you think about it?
please tell me what you thought and why you thought it.
I just finished this book and I wanted to know how people felt about it.

i've read this book for many times, still remember the first time was after seeing the film 6 years ago when i was in the middle school, then i began to read the novel, i have to say that i like it, the story, for me it is much more than a romance... anyway, it is a good book

if i were her, i 'd stay...

I read the Horse Whisperer a while back. I liked the book a LOT better than the movie. I'm not much of one for romance stories, but the book was well written and I didn't feel that it was overly sappy. I liked the ending more than I did in the movie.
All in all, I'm a fan.

i just read the book last month and have never seen the movie. it was awful what happened in the end but i thought it was an awesome book. it was hard to put down. i loved the way there was a new baby and a new foal though. kinda a nice ending for a new beginning....my heart wrenched for pilgram....and the part where he made pilgram lie down was tooo much for me! ive seen a horse go through that and i hated it. its hard to watch and makes me cry.....now i have to see the movie but i hear it has a totally different ending. im glad i read the book first. they are always better.

I didn't read it, however I listened to the audio version. I'm a painter and that is sometimes how I keep abreast of the latest literary offerings while I work at my craft. I liked it because of the approach to animalkind as it applied to the human spirit.
