When 1. It's cold outside. 2. The idle is low--like when I am slowing down. Then sometimes, the wipers go on and off, the car tries to stall, the rpm's go up and down, I cannot accelerate, the headlights go on and off as well as the radio, the car jerks forward and then doesn't go and then jerks again. If I have slowed down and keep the RPM's up it will sometimes still do this but most of the time not. When coming to a stop without maintaining RPM's the car will stall. It will restart easily enough. I also have an auto start system; where I can start the car from far away by remote. Can anyone diagnos this problem? The car is an automatic. If you need more info email me.

You may need a Priest, not a mechanic.

It sounds like a bad throttle position sensor but you should have it hooked up to a analyzer, check with the local parts stores some of them have the testers to hook up.You could also check to see if any of your local auto shops have the analyzer to check it.Good luck.

Too many things going on to pinpoint without diagnostic. My guess is an Oxygen sensor is out.

i own a repair shop, and you need to take it by any auto zone store ,and have them scan it to see if it has any problems with the computer or any trouble codes in it,,this will help you a lot in diagnosing this problem,,i wouldn't do anything ,,or buy any parts for it until i got it scanned,,and its free also,,they don't charge for this,,good luck with it,i hope this help.s.
