I've known this girl for about 4 months and we seem to be becoming pretty good friends (i don't mean romanticaly, we are the same gender and we are straight; just a normal friendship). I would really like to get together w/ her outside of school, but I don't know what would be a good thing to do for our first time actually getting together OUTSIDE of school. something casual, maybe seeing a movie or something? and how do i ask her if she wants to get together w/out it being totally random? i only have 1 class w/ her and we talk a lot in there, but i don't know how to bring up getting together w/ her. suggestions on how to ask and where to go so that we won't feel uncomfortable but rather we'll get to know eachother a little better.

In your next conversation, ask her what her favorite store is at the mall. When she replies with her favorite store, tell her where you like to shop and ask her if she would like to come shopping with you that day.
You may also ask her if she has seen the new ___ movie that's in theaters. If she says she hasn't seen it, tell her you think it will be really good and ask her if she would like to go to the movies with you.

It's possible that she's wondering the same thing. In high school, everyone is painfully self-aware and thinks everything they say is being looked at under a microscope and being made fun of. But the fact is, everyone is so busy worrying about how THEY look, they're paying absolutely no attention to how YOU look. The only exception would be the really snotty popular people who spend ALL their time worrying about what other people are doing, mostly because they have no idea why they are so popular and so they worry about accidentally doing something to make them unpopular. Also, pointing out other people's faults makes them feel better about their pathetic selves.

Utilizing information you know about this girl's interests, based on your conversations, suggest a movie both of you might be interested in and just say, "Hey, I was thinking of going to see this movie this weekend and I thought you might like it too. Wanna go with me?

Honey! In the class before it starts, would be a good time or give her a note, asking her what she thinks about you both going to a movie. Give her your cell(mobile) phone number ,or get hers and decide together what, where, when etc.If you're wondering this and you seem to be getting on really well. Odds are she's having the same problem, how to ask you to go to a movie etc.
So just do it ,stop worrying. It's either Yes or No.
Yes you both can plan it. No it's end of story.
Good luck to you both Enjoy the movie.

Ask if she wants to hang out at the mall, or maybe be on a specific mission, like...could you come with me and help me pick out a dress to wear to -----. Whatever you come up with, if she is willing, you are on your way to becoming buds.
