I did it! Ypu just have to know how prioritize your. Read and do homework on your supper breaks. Realize how much time it takes you to do something than plan some extra time to get it completed. Always be aware of your syllabi to know when assignments are due!

Bust your butt.

Full time in at least some colleges is only 12 credit hours. That's fairly easy to get through, especially while in general ed type courses. That's only four classes a week which you can take at night school or, in some colleges these days, weekends or even totally on-line.

My hardest semester though was pulling 20 hours of coursework and getting a 4.0 with only one bunny class - the rest engineering courses - while working at a kennel weekends cleaning and feeding the dogs, teaching a lab course during the week as well as another part time job as a design consultant. I'm not sure how I survived sanely. Come to think of it, I'm not quite sure I did . To be serious though I think that was what finally cost me my marriage.

When I was in college I went to school 8hrs. and then worked eight 8hrs. I would sleep on my supper breaks and come home and sleep about 3 hrs. and then study. I would not advice anyone to this (like I did) I almost had a nerveous breakdown. If you want to go to school dont take to many classes to where you can still work and get your rest and be able to study. Try to balance each thing.

I've done one of those part-time while doing the other one full-time, in both possible scenarios. However, doing both full-time usually requires sacrificing sleep or being a genius.

That said, lots of parents (single and otherwise) go to school while managing jobs, kids, carpool, etc etc and manage to have more energy than most mortals, so you never know.

YES, I am in college FULL-time and working FULL-time, and it's very, very difficult especially in fast paced New York City! To keep focused I study on the train on my way to work and from work to school...You have to be creative on study tactics-that's the key! and don't over exhaust yourself...sleep as much as you can! and if you like to party STILL go out! just come home a little earlier...that's how I do it! good luck!

Tip: Earn money by using your computer, build a business that will last a lifetime, so that you have more time to concentrate on your studies and not work so much to pay off your college. Sorry if I offended you. See my profile!

I ran a small business, writing résumés for college students. I'm not sure if I could've held down a "normal" college job, though.

I'm doing it now. It can get hard sometimes. You just have to make sure you have your priorities together.
